Tooth Restorations Utilizing Computer Technology to Create Esthetic and Long-lasting Results in Just 1 Appointment
A miraculous new technology called "CEREC" was introduced to our practice in 2003 when the software made a huge leap from 2D to 3D. Since that time, we have embraced this new technology to produce beautiful and long-lasting tooth restorations that can be enjoyed on both front and back teeth. Our practice is one of the very few in the area that has applied this technology to front teeth. Dr. Les Miller has had such success with this technique that he has had the opportunity to participate in multiple seminars to demonstrate this technology to other dentists. One of the big advantages of using this technology for the front teeth is that we can completely control the final outcome, eliminating a lab technician middle man. This means our in-house lab can custom characterize the porcelain to match adjacent teeth and you can give immediate input into the final shape and shade to give the exact result you were wanting. The before photo shows a mercury filling that is breaking down and leaking, which causes the tooth to look dark. It is also allowing bacteria to seep into the crevice between tooth and filling, which causes decay.

Our High-Tech "Cerec" System Keeps Your Smile Looking Attractive And Natural... All With Just 1 Fast And Convenient Appointment
The CEREC System uses a 3-D camera that takes an optical image of your tooth that needs restoration. Then, CEREC sends information to its CAD/CAM software (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacture). Here the tooth is custom designed to produce ideal esthetics and function, and the information is then relayed to our milling machine next door. The porcelain restoration is milled out to exact specifications and ready to bond into place!
