About IV Sedation Dentistry:

IV sedation allows the most control of any sedation method, making it the most predictable and the safest sedation technique. This technique of sedation has the additional advantages over oral sedation of having a rapid onset, short recovery period, and minimal side effects (nausea or vomiting). All sedation used in the office is conscious sedation, meaning that the patient is able to respond to physical stimulation and verbal commands.

All sedation is performed under the direct supervision of an anesthesia specialist, Jeff Glasgow of Advanced Specialty Anesthesia. Prior to the procedure, a consult is completed to thoroughly evaluate any anesthesia concerns. On the day of the procedure, he travels to the office to allow his full attention to the client’s sedation needs, while our team can focus on providing the very best in dental treatment. Constant monitoring throughout the procedure and recovery process provides premium care in safety and comfort. Patients must have someone else available to bring them to and from their appointments, as they will not be able to drive for 24 hours following treatment.
